March 12, 2010 - 12 of 12

I took the day off today to spend it with my friend, Kimberly, in celebration of my birthday (which was the 10th, in case you need to mark it down in your calendar for next year).

We went to Universal Studios and were tourists for the day. It was absolutely gorgeous weather (couldn't have asked for better), and the crowds were minimal (only had one long wait -- for The Simpsons, which is fun but I'm not entirely sure is worth the wait).

There were far more than 12 photos to document this day, but I pulled out some of my faves.

Thanks, Chad Darnell, for putting together 12 of 12 -- you can see more info about the 12 of 12 project here.

Just one small piece of the magnificent vista you can see from the Universal Studio upper lot. It's really an incredible view.

Universal is doing a lot of rebuilding after the devastating fire in their backlot.
This is just one small part of the giant facade they have built during the reconstruction. Yes, this is the back. And next.....
